Orson Welles

The series first was heard in England and aired on Radio Luxembourg on May 5, 1950. It was heard in the United States on the Mutual Broadcasting System from January 1, 1952 through December 30, 1952. The CBC carried the program for September 28, 1952 through June 28, 1953.

Orson Welles served as both host and narrator. The stories were based on actual English crimes. Scotland Yard maintains a museum known as 'The Black Museum' were relics from past crimes are kept. Each episode was based on a relic from the museum and the crime associated with it.
