Nightfall ran on the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) from July 1980 to June 1983. In all, 100 episodes were produced.

Shows dealt with the supernatural, horror, mystery, science fiction, and human drama. The stories were a mix on both classic and original short stories.

Some of Nightfall's episodes were so terrifying that several of the CBC affiliated stations decided to drop it. However, Nightfall went on to become one of the most popular radio series ever produced by the CBC.

During the first two seasons, Bill Howell was executive producer of Nightfall at CBC Toronto. For the final season the executive producer was Don Kowalchuk at CBC Vancouver.

Henry Ramer was the voice of the show's host, Luther Kranst, during the the time the show was produced in Toronto. When the show moved to Vancouver, Bill Reiter took over the hosting duties using the name, Frederick Hende.

This is an excellent show and I highly recommend it.
