Ed Begley

The series aired on WMGM from October 10, 1949 through October 10, 1951. It was heard on the Mutual Broadcasting System from January 7, 1952 through December 22, 1952.

The show was based on a MGM's series of short films. Episodes were transcribed at MGM's New York station, WMGM. Being owned by MGM, the station was occasionally able to get some of MGM's well known actors to appear in various shows. The actors included stars such as Bela Lugosi, Everett Sloane, and Ed Begley.

Each episode dealt with crimes such as murder, robbery and racketeering and plainly emphasized that "crime does not pay".
