The series aired
on NBC from June 23, 1944 to September 15, 1944 and starred Chester
Morris as Boston Blackie. The following year a syndicated edition of
the show starring Richard Kollmar made its appearance and ran from
April 11, 1945 until October 25, 1950.
Regulars on the show included Maurice Tarplin as Police Inspector Farraday and Jan Miner as Blackie's girlfriend, Mary Wesley.
Boston Blackie was very popular during its time on the radio, very successful in the movies and to the present day, has thousands of loyal fans.
